Capacity Building Training under RAMP Commences at Handloom Department, Diskit, Nubra.
Nubra, 29 September 2026: A five day capacity building training programme on dyeing and embroidery for MSME artisans commenced today at the Handloom Department, Diskit, Nubra. The programme was graced by the Deputy Commissioner, Nubra, Sh. Mukul Beniwal, IAS.
The programme is being organised by the Handloom Department under the supervision of Sh. Sachin Bali, JKAS, Assistant Director, Handloom Department, Leh, with trainers from NIFT Srinagar conducting training on dyeing and embroidery under the RAMP initiative of the Department of Industries and Commerce, UT Ladakh.
The Deputy Commissioner highlighted the importance of the training programme, stressed the proper allotment of CFCs to SHGs and effective utilisation of available machinery and distributed training kits among all participants and encourage them to pursue self employment opportunities and contribute to local economic development.
