CEC chairs meeting to finalize works proposed by various departments/executing agencies under SDP, State Capex Budget for FY 2023-24.

Kargil, June 13, 2023: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmed Khan today chaired a meeting at Council Secretariat to discuss and finalize new works proposed and prepared by various departments/executing agencies under Special Development Package (SDP) and State Capex Budget for the financial year 2023-24.
The meeting was attended by Executive Councilor Health Mohsin Ali, Executive Councilor Works Mubarak Shah Naqvi, Executive Councilor Social Welfare, Aga Syed Mehdi Fazili, Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve besides sectorial heads of various departments.
Threadbare discussions were held on various new proposed works under the SDP of the respective departments.
The CEC said that huge number of works will cause confusion which could be difficult to get approval from the higher authorities. He said in order to streamline the works and to get approval from the higher authorities, new works under SDP should be prioritised.
During the discussion, the CEC directed the concerned officers to go ahead with the specific works which are urgently required to be done adding that huge number of works would not get clearance from the Finance Department.
He directed to complete the ongoing works and also to submit an additional DPR of the ongoing works on turnkey if there are any.
The CEC also directed that the new plan of SDP should reflect the major works.
During the meeting, Khan also directed the concerned officers to avoid duplicity of works.
