CEC Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon Appoints Two New Executive Councillors of LAHDC Kargil.
Kargil, July 15, 2026: In exercise of the powers vested under Section 33(2) of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council Act, 1995, the Hon’ble Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, today appointed Altaf Hussain, Councillor Chuliskambo, and Syed Ali, Councillor GM Pore, as Executive Councillors of LAHDC Kargil.
On the occasion, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon extended his heartfelt congratulations to the newly appointed Executive Councillors and conveyed his best wishes for their new responsibilities. He expressed confidence that both leaders would serve the people with sincerity, dedication, and a strong sense of responsibility.
The Chairman/CEC stated that he has high expectations from the newly inducted Executive Councillors and expressed hope that they will work tirelessly for the welfare and overall development of the people of Kargil. He emphasized that collective efforts, transparent governance, and public-centric decision-making are essential for accelerating developmental initiatives across the district.
Dr. Akhoon further reiterated the Council’s commitment to inclusive and sustainable development and expressed confidence that the strengthened Executive Council will effectively address public aspirations while ensuring the timely implementation of developmental projects.
The occasion was attended by Executive Councillor Er. Phunchok Tashi, Executive Councillor Agha Syed Mustafa Zaidi, Councillors, and public of the respective constituencies of LAHDC Kargil, who congratulated the newly appointed Executive Councillors and wished them success in discharging their responsibilities.
