    CEC Feroz Khan chairs meeting of Governing Body of Rogi Kalyan Samiti

    Kargil, March 10, 2023: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil, Feroz Ahmad Khan today chaired the Governing Body meeting of Rogi Kalyan Samiti (RKS)/Hospital Development Fund (HDF) meeting of District Hospital Kargil (DHK) at the Hotel Kargil.

    CMO Kargil, Dr Munawar Hussain Wazir, Medical Superintendent District Hospital Kargil, Dr Liyaqat Ali Khan, physician specialist (DHK), Executive Engineer R&B, Mechanical, Project Director KREDA, representative of DIPR Kargil and others attended the meeting.

    At the outset, the Medical Superintendent, who is also the Member Secretary of the Governing Body, appraised the meeting about the progress and performance registered by the institution under different indicators.

    He also informed about various issues and demands meant for infrastructure upgradation and overall advancement of healthcare system in the hospital. He also informed about different works before the RKS Governing Body for approval to be carried out during 2022-23.

    The MS also placed the list of works/purchases/points to be funded out of the RKS/HDF during the financial year 2022-23. A threadbare discussion was held on each point.

    It was decided that Rs 20 lakh would be approved for the purchase of Jan Aushadhi Drugs, IEC activities, labour charges for the shifting of hospital, purchase of electrical, carpentry, plumbing miscellanies items, placenta pits while the works of fixation of loose tiles, reserve fund for CME, parking allocation, consultant cabin with library, casualty main entrance shielding, indoor entry gate protection semi wall, maintenance of doctors’ common room, tilling of all corners of hospital, besides whitewashing of various sections would be executed as per the estimated cost.

    During the meeting, 4/4 vehicles for call and Trauma Hospital were also discussed.

    The CEC instructed the members to fix priorities for repair, renovation and to purchase life-saving, Jan Aushadhi drugs and complete other works related to hospital out of RKS funds.

    Various issues related to the overall functioning of DHK besides the steps needed to be taken for augmentation of healthcare facilities were discussed. The CEC instructed the officers to take all required measures in this regard.

    The CEC directed the line department to outsource the laboures on need. He also directed the Executive Engineer R&B to survey and estimate the replacement of broken tiles, fixation of loose tiles and tiling of corners of the hospital.
