    CEC Kargil bids farewell to outgoing CE Project VIJAYAK, welcomes new CE.

    Kargil, Jan 22, 2025: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon today bid farewell to outgoing Chief Engineer, Project VIJAYAK, Viney Bhel and welcomed the new Chief Engineer Project VIJAYAK Brigadier Rahul Oberoi, in a ceremony held at LAHDC Secretariat.
    Executive Councilor, Kacho Mohammad Feroz, Executive Councilor, Er Punchok Tashi, ADC Kargil, Councillor Bhimbhat, Councilor Shargole besides officials from Project VIJAYAK and district officers were present during the farewell ceremony.
    At the event, the CEC Kargil praised the tenure of the outgoing Chief Engineer, describing it as the most cordial period of collaboration between VIJAYAK and the civil administration.
    Dr. Akhoon highlighted several achievements during his tenure, acknowledging his efforts in advancing regional development, improving infrastructure, and enhancing public services.
    The CEC stressed on the major works being executed on Zojila Road to keep it open for the maximum time during the winter season. He also praised the social work executed by Viney Bhel in the district.
    The CEC Kargil highlighted the collaboration with Team Stringmo, which has greatly benefited the team (Stringmo).
    EC Feroz and EC Tashi thanked the outgoing chief Engineer for rendering exemplary services to the people of Kargil.
    The outgoing Chief Engineer Project VIJAYAK expressed gratitude to CEC, ECs and Councilors of LAHDC Kargil, district administration and the people of Kargil for their support and cooperation during his tenure.
    He extended his best wishes to his successor and encouraged everyone to provide their full support to ensure the region’s continued development and progress.
    The new Chief Engineer, Brigadier Rahul Oberio thanked the Councilors and officials for the warm welcome and assured them of his commitment to working tirelessly for the welfare and development of the people of Kargil. He also sought the cooperation and support of all stakeholders in his endeavors.
