CEC Kargil expresses gratitude to Hon’ble LG Ladakh, officers for extending benefits to Daily Rated Workers.

Kargil, Feb 25, 2025: Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor (CEC) LAHDC, Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, today expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr.) BD Mishra, Chief Secretary, Dr. Pawan Kotwal, Administrative Secretary, GAD, Sh. Michael M. D’Souza Ladakh and Director Finance, Ladakh Dr. Safdar Ali for their efforts in extending benefits to the Daily Rated Workers (DRWs) of the Union Territory of Ladakh.
Acknowledging the step taken for the welfare of the DRWs, the CEC congratulated all daily-rated workers and extended his appreciation to the concerned stakeholders for their collective efforts in resolving the long-standing issues in the shortest possible time.
He added that the decision is expected to bring much-needed relief and stability to the lives of numerous DRWs who play a vital role in the region’s workforce.
The CEC further emphasized that LAHDC Kargil will continue to work closely with the administration to ensure the well-being and rights of all workers across the district.
