CEC Kargil Inspects Preparations at District Hospital Ahead of Hon’ble LG’s Visit.
Kargil, April 09, 2026: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon today visited District Hospital Kargil to review and inspect the preparations and arrangements ahead of the visit of the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Shri V.K. Saxena.
During the visit, Dr. Akhoon conducted a comprehensive inspection of the hospital premises, particularly in view of the proposed renaming of District Hospital Kargil as Qambar Ali Akhoon Memorial Hospital. He emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and overall hospital management.
The CEC interacted with the Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Abass, along with the administrative and medical staff of the hospital. He reviewed the preparedness of various departments and assessed the availability of essential medical facilities, equipment, and staff readiness.
The CEC also discussed key developmental aspects, including the proposed foundation stone laying for the Nursing College and inauguration of Blood Bank. He directed the concerned officials to finalize the location and ensure that all necessary groundwork and documentation are completed in a timely manner.
Dr. Akhoon instructed the hospital administration to strengthen emergency services, ensure adequate availability of medicines, and maintain proper sanitation in the hospital premises.
The hospital authorities assured the CEC that all necessary arrangements would be put in place well in advance to ensure the smooth conduct of the upcoming visit.
