CEC Kargil Meets Administrative Secretary, GAD J&K to Discuss Key Administrative Matters.
Jammu, December 1, 2025: Hon’ble Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon today met Shri M. Raju, Administrative Secretary, General Administration Department, Government of Jammu & Kashmir, in Jammu.
During the meeting, the Hon’ble CEC discussed the apportionment of staff both from the erstwhile state of Jammu & Kashmir to the Union Territory of Ladakh and from Ladakh to Jammu & Kashmir. He emphasized that a fair, transparent and time-bound apportionment process is essential for ensuring the smooth functioning of government offices and uninterrupted delivery of public services across the region, particularly in Kargil.
The Hon’ble CEC also raised several important concerns related to government employees of Ladakh, including long-pending service matters, issues related to mutual transfers, and other administrative grievances that require early resolution.
Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon urged the Administrative Secretary to take up these matters on priority to safeguard the interests of government employees and to further strengthen inter-UT administrative coordination.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, with assurance of enhanced cooperation between GAD J&K and the UT of Ladakh for the timely resolution of the issues discussed.
