CEC Kargil Meets Delegation of Lambardar Association, Sankoo; Assures to Take Up Genuine Demands with Higher Authorities.
Kargil, July 15, 2026: A delegation of the Lambardar Association, Sankoo, led by its President, Haji Mohammad Ali, today called on the Hon’ble Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, to discuss various issues concerning the Lambardar community.
The delegation included Haji Mohammad Ali, President, Lambardar Association, Sankoo Block; Mohammad Ali, President, Lambardar Association, Namsuru; along with four other Lambardars.
During the meeting, the delegation apprised the Hon’ble CEC of their genuine demands and sought his intervention for their early redressal. Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon gave a patient hearing to the issues raised and assured the delegation that all genuine demands would be taken up with the higher authorities for appropriate consideration and necessary action.
Expressing gratitude for the positive assurance extended by the Hon’ble CEC, the Lambardar Association announced the withdrawal of its ongoing strike.
The delegation appreciated the proactive approach of the Hon’ble CEC and expressed hope that their long-pending issues would be addressed at the earliest through the intervention of the concerned authorities.
