CEC Kargil reviews progress of JJM works.

Kargil, Nov 14, 2023: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon today convened a meeting to review the progress of major and minor projects taken up under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in the district.
The meeting was attended by Executive Councilor, I&FC/PHE, Kacho Mohammad Feroz; Executive Councilor, PDD/Education, Zakir Hussain; Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Shrikant Suse; SE PHE and I&FC, Maqbool Hussain; Executive Engineer PHE; Executive Engineer I&FC; Executive Engineer PDD; CEO Kargil; the concerned AEEs, JEs.
During the meeting, the status of major and minor projects under the JJM in the district was thoroughly discussed.
The CEC and DC directed SE PHE & I&FC to resolve the pending issues and disputes regarding JJM works on priority basis.
During the meeting DC Shrikant directed RD&PRD for immediate implementation of works regarding construction of water disposal points during winter months.
During the discussion, SE PHE was instructed to identify major winter management zones which are to be taken on priority basis.
The EC I&FC/PHE and DC Kargil raised the demand of extension for JJM projects in district Kargil. In this regard, the CEC assured to take up the matter with UT Administration for favourable action.
The CEC also stressed on the concerned officials to speed up the pace of work and complete the pending works at the earliest. He also emphasized to maximize fund utilization.
