CEC Reviews Preparations for Mega Plantation Drive in Chushul

Leh, May 12: The Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson reviewed preparations for the Mega Plantation Drive at Chushul to be held on the World Environment Day, 5th June 2022.
CEC Gyalson reviewed various developmental progress from the respective departments for the mega plantation drive. The district officers from various district departments apprised CEC regarding the developmental progress of the Mega Plantation Drive at Chushul.
CEC emphasised the importance of the event as a part of the Go Green Project initiated by H.H Skyabgon Chetsang Rinpoche in respect of environmental challenges and to promote greener earth. He directed all the HoDs to ensure competition in all pending developmental works at the venue. He also sought assistance from the Army and ITBP for the smooth conduct of the plantation drive.
The meeting was attended by Executive Councillor for RDD, Tashi Namgyal Yakzee; Executive Councillor for Horticulture, Ghulam Mehdi Ashoor; Executive Councillor for Agriculture, Stanzin Chosphel; ADC Leh, Sonam Chosjor; ACD Leh, Sonam Norbu; Chairperson BDC Durbuk, Konchok Punchok; Officers from ITBP and BRO; District Officers and officials from the Agriculture, Forest, Information, Horticulture, Health, RDD, I&FC, Command Area Development, R&B, PDD and PHE Department Leh, Representatives from DIHAR, and Organising Committee members of Go Green Project.
