    Celebration of Bhoti Day at DIET Leh.
    Bhoti Day was observed with great enthusiasm at the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Leh on 1st April 2026, in collaboration with Ladakh Model School Skara Yokma. The event aimed to promote and preserve the rich linguistic and cultural heritage of the Bhoti language.
    The programme was graced by Mr. Lundup Dorjey, Cultural Officer, Ladakh Cultural Academy of Arts and Language, Leh, and Mrs. Tsering Yangdol, Head of the Institution, DIET Leh.
    On the occasion, Mr. Lundup Dorjey expressed his happiness over the growing development and increasing interest in the Bhoti language among students. He appreciated the efforts being made by educational institutions in preserving and promoting this valuable linguistic heritage.
    Mrs. Tsering Yangdol highlighted the steady progress being made in the learning and usage of the Bhoti language among students and encouraged continued efforts to strengthen its presence in the education system.
    During the event, Dr. Lotos Rabgais and Ms. Skalden also emphasized the importance of preserving and promoting the Bhoti language among younger generations.
    The celebration featured vibrant cultural presentations by the students of Model School Skara Yokma, including Bhoti poem recitations and melodious songs, showcasing their talent and deep connection with their cultural roots.
    At the end of the programme, prizes were distributed among the student participants in recognition of their enthusiastic participation and commendable performances, adding joy and encouragement to the celebration.
    The programme concluded on a positive note, reaffirming the collective commitment of educators and students towards safeguarding the Bhoti language as an integral part of the region’s identity and heritage.
