Leh, September 15, 2025 – The National Institute of Sowa Rigpa (NISR) celebrated Hindi Divas with great enthusiasm and cultural fervor at its campus today. The program was organized to honor and promote the importance of Hindi as the national language and to encourage students and staff to express themselves through it.
Dr. Padma Gurmet, Director, NISR welcomed the chief guest and other participants and highlighted the importance of Rajbhasha Hindi.
The occasion was graced by Prof. R. N. Prasad, former Additional Vice-Chancellor of Nalanda University, who attended as the Chief Guest. In his address, Prof. Prasad highlighted the historical and cultural significance of Hindi in strengthening unity and identity across India. He encouraged the young generation to embrace Hindi not only as a language of communication but also as a medium of knowledge and creativity.
The celebration witnessed active participation from students and teachers, who presented speeches and recited poems (Kavita) centered on the richness, beauty, and relevance of Hindi i n contemporary society. Their performances created an inspiring atmosphere, reflecting deep respect for the language and its role in education and literature.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by the organizing committee, appreciating the efforts of all the participants and reaffirming the Institute’s commitment to promoting India’s linguistic and cultural heritage.
