Central Administrative Tribunal, Srinagar Bench commence fourth circuit sitting in Kargil.
Kargil, August 4, 2025: The Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), Srinagar Bench, commenced its fourth Circuit Sitting in Kargil today at the Tourist Facilitation Centre (TFC), Baroo.
The Bench is being presided over by Hon’ble Judicial Member Mr. D.S. Mahra and Hon’ble Administrative Member Mr. Prashant Kumar. The sitting aims to provide government employees and pensioners of the Union Territory of Ladakh with convenient access to judicial remedies for service-related matters, continuing the Tribunal’s commitment to accessible and decentralized justice delivery.
A total of 22 cases were listed for hearing on the opening day. The proceedings are being conducted in hybrid mode—both physical and virtual—enabling participation even from litigants based in far-flung and remote areas of the region. This Circuit Sitting is scheduled to continue for three consecutive days, from August 5 to August 7, 2025.
Such sittings reflect a broader push toward bridging the gap between citizens and justice systems, especially in geographically sensitive areas like Ladakh. The essence of justice lies in its accessibility, and initiatives like these ensure that no region remains out of reach of timely legal redressal.
