Chief Secretary chairs interaction meeting with sports associations in Ladakh.
Leh, June 23, 2026: The Chief Secretary of the UT Ladakh, Ashish Kundra, chaired an interaction meeting with representatives of various sports associations from across Ladakh to discuss the development and promotion of sports in the region.
During the meeting, the Chief Secretary interacted with members of different sports councils and associations and held detailed discussions on various aspects concerning sports activities and infrastructure in Ladakh. The representatives highlighted several issues related to funding, the functioning of sports councils, and the need for timely support for sports development initiatives.
The sports associations also raised concerns regarding the completion of ongoing sports infrastructure projects and requested that these works be taken up on a priority basis to strengthen sporting facilities across the Union Territory.
The Chief Secretary assured the representatives that the Administration is committed to addressing the concerns of the sports associations and ensuring the timely completion of ongoing sports infrastructure projects, along with other related issues.
The meeting was attended by the Directors of Youth Services and Sports from Leh and Kargil, along with executive members of various sports associations from across Ladakh.
