    The Indian Army’s Fire & Fury Combat Medics organised a Comprehensive Medical and Dental Health Camp at the Government Higher Secondary Residential School, Tangtse.
    The camp was formally inaugurated by Brigadier M.R. Jagdish, Station Commander, Tangtse Military Station, and Shri Konchok Stanzin, Hon’ble Councillor, in the august presence of Colonel J.S. Kulaar, Commanding Officer, 303 Field Hospital, Shri Phupspan Psulpin, Sarpanch, and Mr Sonam Dorjey, Vice Principal.
    A dedicated medical team from 303 Field Hospital, comprising a Physician, Lady Medical Officers, a Lady Dental Officer, and diagnostic staff, provided healthcare services. The initiative benefitted over 120 students and staff members who availed dental check-ups, general medical examinations, vision screening, and essential medicines. Awareness sessions on oral hygiene and healthy lifestyle practices were also conducted to promote preventive healthcare among children.
    Speaking on the occasion, Shri Konchok Stanzin lauded the Indian Army for its noble initiative and expressed gratitude for their unwavering commitment to public health in Ladakh’s remote high-altitude areas. The Sarpanch and school staff also conveyed appreciation, emphasising the importance of such efforts in extending accessible healthcare to underserved communities.
    This outreach initiative underscores the Indian Army’s enduring commitment to community well-being and marks a significant step in strengthening rural healthcare delivery and wellness in the Eastern Ladakh sector.
