    Cultural Academy Leh Hosts Poetry Session Featuring Pramod Kumar Jain IAS.

    Leh, March 4, 2025: The Cultural Academy Leh played host to a poignant poetry session, “Despair and Hope,” featuring Chairman of the New Districts Committee, Pramod Kumar Jain IAS. The event showcased Mr. Jain’s literary prowess, as he recited poems from his published book, which explores the themes of resilience and hope during the COVID-19 pandemic.
    Mr. Jain also shared unpublished works, including poems inspired by his visits to Ladakh. The session included readings of his poems such as “Lockdown,” “Freedom from Man,” “The Candle,” “New Hope,” “I Wait for a Peacock,” “Hello My Dear Poem,” “Krishna and Radha,” and “When I Die,” among others.
    The event encouraged audience participation, with Mr. Jain engaging in conversations and soliciting viewpoints on the human experiences of despair, negativity, and hope. The poetry session provided a platform for introspection and contemplation, highlighting the importance of perseverance and optimism in the face of adversity.
    Mr. Jain’s second book, currently in progress, is expected to be a literary tribute to his experiences in Ladakh. He also read poems from his unpublished works.

Mr. Jain’s thought-provoking poems and engaging personality made for a memorable evening, leaving a lasting impact on the audience. The event underscored the transformative power of poetry and storytelling, reminding us of the importance of hope, resilience, and human connection in overcoming life’s challenges. The programme concluded with a Tashispa song sung by the audience. Deputy Secretary Cultural Academy Leh Tsewang Paljor felicitated Pramod Kumar Jain for his presence and contribution.
