DC Drass visits various locations to inspect developmental works.
Drass, May 12, 2026: The Deputy Commissioner Drass, Imteeaz Kacho today conducted an inspection of the Indoor Stadium of Youth Services & Sports Department in Ranbirpur to take stock of the available infrastructure and assess the facilities being provided. He was received by Zonal Physical Education Officer (ZPEO), Drass and his staff.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner took a round inside the Indoor Stadium and inquired about facilities being provided to sports persons, students and sports enthusiasts.
The Deputy Commissioner then assured that the concerned departments will be given instructions to complete the pending works. Further, he directed the ZPEO to organize tournaments in Drass at regular intervals and allow players/sports persons to use the Indoor Stadium without any hindrance. He also stressed on the proper availability of drinking water facilities within the premises for the convenience of players and visitors as well as the need for proper electricity fitting and maintenance.
He also visited the site of construction of the Guest House being executed by R&B Department and inspected the rooms and other amenities. He emphasized the need for proper road and electricity connectivity for the Guest House besides proper water supply. He was accompanied by Sub-Divisional Magistrate Vishal Atri and concerned officials.
Subsequently, the Deputy Commissioner visited the Trauma Centre of the Sub-District Hospital to review its functioning and the ongoing works.
The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the arrangements for the forthcoming visit of the Parliamentary Affairs Committee to Drass along with Superintendent of Police Ishtyaq Kacho and the Sub-Divisional Magistrate Vishal Atri.
