DC Inspects Construction of Multi-Sports Complex at Kargil Town.
Kargil, August 17, 2026: Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC Kargil, Rakesh Kumar, today inspected the ongoing construction work of the Multi-Sports Complex at Kargil town to take stock of the progress and review the project plan.
The DC was accompanied by Chief Planning Officer Kargil, Kacho Mohd Hussain, besides other concerned officials.
During the inspection, the DC inquired about the approved plan, design and present status of the project. He was informed that the Multi-Sports Complex is being constructed as a G+2 structure and that the fabrication and related works are expected to be completed shortly.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned agencies to expedite the remaining works and complete the project within the current year, if possible, while ensuring adherence to the prescribed quality standards and specifications.
The estimated cost of the Multi-Sports Complex project is around ₹49 crore.
