    DC Kargil attends Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra programme at Baroo.

    Outreach programmes continue in Kargil, witness enthusiastic response from locals
    Kargil, Dec 21: Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Shrikant Suse today attended the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) programme for Ward No. 12 Baroo held at Government Boys’ Higher Secondary School.
    Administrator MC/Joint Director, Information, Ladakh, Imteeaz Kacho, Councilor Baroo-Minji, Advocate Khadim Hussain, Executive Officer, MC Kargil, Shafaqat Ali Khan, line departments, beneficiaries besides other concerned officers were present during the event.
    During the event, DC Kargil recommended that the public make the most of the VBSY, emphasizing its accessibility at their doorsteps. He asserted that a significant number of people from Kargil should consider enrolling under Ayushman Bharat schemes to avail themselves of the maximum benefits offered in terms of health-oriented perks.
    The DC highlighted the significance of various schemes such as PM Kisan, Vishwakarma, Atal Pension Yojana (APY) etc. He advised the public to capitalize on these schemes and avail themselves of the benefits they offer.
    DC Shrikant expressed satisfaction with the progress of the journey that commenced on Nov 15, covering 90 Panchayats. He noted that the efforts invested in executing the Sankalp Yatra in Kargil have garnered appreciation from Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi.
    He further mentioned that, in addition to the Sankalp Yatra, the Administration plans to organize similar outreach camps across the district for the overall welfare of the public.
    Administrator MC-Kargil/JD-Information, Ladakh, Imteeaz Kacho expressed gratitude to all relevant departments for ensuring success of the event in Kargil Town. He reiterated that the objective of the Yatra was to deliver benefits of various schemes at the doorsteps.
    The Administrator MC urged the public to actively participate in making Kargil a clean town and commended the dedicated efforts of the green workers of MC Kargil in maintaining the cleanliness of the town.
    Councilor Baroo-Minji, Advocate Khadim Hussain, applauded the efforts of the District Administration in providing services related to various central sponsored schemes at the doorsteps of general public.
    Executive Officer, MC Kargil, Shafqat Ali Khan thanked the dignitaries and beneficiaries for making the event a success.
    During the event, the beneficiaries were informed about and given services related to various centrally sponsored schemes by departments like Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, ICDS, Health, Agriculture, Social Welfare, Industries, J&K Bank, ICICI Bank, etc.
    Representatives from various departments elaborated extensively on the diverse schemes offered within their respective domains aimed at public welfare.
    At Imam Bargah Baroo (Ward No. 11), 32 ABHA Cards were generated, 18 Aadhaar Cards were updated, and 45 e-KYC for Ration Cards were completed. A total of 24 individuals attended the OPD, and the blood pressure of 27 individuals was checked.
    Additionally, at Govt. Boys Higher Secondary Baroo (Ward No. 12), 45 ABHA Cards were issued, eKYC for 62 Ration Cards was completed, and 35 Aadhaar Cards were updated. The OPD saw the participation of 32 individuals, with blood pressure checks conducted for 47 individuals.
