DC Kargil Reviews Development of New Truck Terminal and Slaughter House at Kharul.
Kargil, August 14, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Rakesh Kumar IAS today visited the newly constructed truck terminal and slaughter house at Kharul near Harka Bhadur Bridge to review the ongoing development and infrastructure facilities at the site.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the newly constructed building and took stock of the development works and facilities being created at the location.
The DC was accompanied by ADC Kargil, CPO Kargil, Tehsildar Kargil, Executive Engineer R&B, representatives of NHIDCL and the concerned Patwari.
Rakesh Kumar reviewed the progress of the works and interacted with the concerned officers regarding the status of development and pending requirements. He directed the concerned departments and agencies to pace up the development works and ensure timely completion of the remaining works.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed the need for close coordination among all concerned agencies to ensure that the infrastructure is developed in a planned manner and made functional at the earliest.
He also called upon the officers to address pending issues on priority and maintain proper monitoring of the works to ensure quality and timely execution.
