DC Nubra Convenes Meeting to Review Department of School Education in Nubra District.
Nubra, 28 August 2026 : The Deputy Commissioner Nubra, Sh. Mukul Beniwal, IAS convened a review meeting with the Department of School Education to assess the overall functioning and progress of educational institutions in the district.
During the meeting, ZEO Nubra, Ms. Sonam Dolkar, briefed the Deputy Commissioner on staff strength, student enrolment, Residential Hostel functioning and enrolment, co-curricular activities, public library facilities, ongoing construction works and future plans of the Department.
She further apprised the Deputy Commissioner of major schemes and programmes, including Samagra Shiksha, PM POSHAN and NIPUN Bharat Mission, along with the grants and facilities provided under them, such as ICT Labs, transport facilities, free uniforms and teachers engaged under Samagra Shiksha.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed the need for focused and outcome oriented implementation of the NIPUN Bharat Mission, directing the concerned officials to identify learning gaps, undertake targeted interventions and periodically evaluate progress against the baseline. He also enquired about the proper disbursement and utilisation of funds under the Samagra Shiksha scheme and directed that the records be duly maintained.
The DC emphasised the importance of environmental preparedness and disaster management and directed that mock drills on disaster management be conducted in schools, which could also be incorporated as an activity under Eco Clubs. He further directed that a committee be constituted to conduct monthly grievance redressal camps covering schools across all three blocks of Nubra District.
The meeting was attended by Zonal Education Officer Nubra and other concerned officials of the Department of School Education.
