DC Nubra Publishes Digitised Land Records Under DILRMP in Five Revenue Villages in Nubra District.
Nubra, 17 August, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Nubra, Sh. Mukul Beniwal, IAS, today formally published the digitised land records under the Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme for five revenue villages, marking an important step towards making land related public services more accessible, transparent and efficient for the people.
The digitised records for the revenue villages of Khalsar and Lakjung were formally published by the Deputy Commissioner in the presence of the Tehsildar Sumoor/Diskit, Sh. Tashis Jorgais. The digitised records for Hundri and Chulungkha were published by SDM Nubra, Sh. Mohd. Sufder Bhat, JKAS, while those pertaining to Khemi were published by Naib Tehsildar, Sh. Zakir Hussain.
Addressing the public at Khalsar and Tirith, the The Deputy Commissioner stated that the objective of digitising land records is to establish a transparent, reliable and accessible land record management system, while simplifying the delivery of land related public services through computerisation and digitisation of survey maps.He highlighted that digitised records would facilitate access to documents required for loans, sale, rental and government schemes and reduced dependence on physical visits to government offices.
He further informed the public that several existing and upcoming government initiatives are likely to be linked with digitised land records, including AgriStack, and therefore urged them to ensure that their land records are properly digitised so that they do not face difficulties in availing the benefits of such schemes. And He also expressed his appreciation to the public and all concerned officials for their cooperation and efforts in making the digitisation process successful.
