DC Nubra Reviews Progress of Infrastructure Development at Government Degree College Nubra.
Nubra, June 17, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Nubra, Sh. Mukul Beniwal, IAS, today inspected the ongoing construction works at Government Degree College (GDC) Nubra, including new academic blocks, the college auditorium, and hostel facilities.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the progress of the projects and directed the executing agencies to expedite the remaining works to ensure their timely completion in view of the upcoming academic session.
He emphasized the need to make all essential services, including water supply, electricity, and plumbing fully functional within the stipulated timelines. He further stated that the availability of quality academic and residential facilities would persuade students to opt for admission at the college.
The Deputy Commissioner instructed the concerned authorities to prioritize the pending works and ensure their completion within the prescribed timeframe so that students can benefit from the improved academic and residential infrastructure at the earliest.
The visit was accompanied by Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Nubra, Sh. Jigmet Raftan, JKAS, Executive Engineer PWD, Sh. Lobzang Yontan, and other concerned officials.
