DC Sham Chairs Review Meeting with Animal Husbandry Department, District Sham.
Khaltse, September 18, 2026: The Deputy Commissioner, Sham, Smt. Kunzes Angmo, JKAS, today chaired a review meeting with the Animal Husbandry Department, District Sham, at the Conference Hall of the DC Office, Sham, to review the implementation and progress of various schemes and developmental activities being undertaken by the department.
Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, District Sham, Dr. Gulzar Hussain, made a detailed PowerPoint presentation before the Deputy Commissioner, highlighting the progress of various Centrally Sponsored Schemes, Special Development Package, UT Schemes and other departmental programmes being implemented in the district.
The presentation covered key areas including livestock development, animal healthcare and vaccination, dairy development, fodder management, artificial insemination, breed improvement, Kisan Credit Card (KCC) loans and other welfare-oriented initiatives for livestock owners and farmers.
The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the physical and financial progress of various schemes and sought detailed feedback from the concerned officers regarding ongoing activities, achievements and challenges faced in their implementation.
She stressed the importance of effective implementation of all departmental schemes and directed the officers to undertake regular field visits and strengthen outreach services to ensure that the benefits of government programmes reach livestock owners and farmers across the district.
The Deputy Commissioner also emphasised the timely completion of ongoing developmental works and effective utilisation of available resources, while calling for close coordination among field functionaries and other concerned departments.
The meeting was attended by Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, District Sham, Dr. Gulzar Hussain; Block Veterinary Officer, Sham, Dr. Stanzin Zadon; MVU In-charge, Dr. Stanzin Tsela; Assistant Veterinary Officer, Tsetan Tundup; Senior Veterinary Pharmacists; Veterinary Pharmacists and other concerned officials of the Animal Husbandry Department, District Sham.
