DCPU Kargil Organises Exposure Tour of CCIs Children to Delhi.
Kargil, January 04, 2026: Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Imteeaz Kacho, today flagged off an exposure tour of children from Child Care Institutions (CCIs), organised by the District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) Kargil, at the Council Secretariat, Kargil. The exposure tour is sponsored by the Tribal Research Institute (TRI), University of Ladakh.
Present on the occasion were, Director, Tribal Research Institute, University of Ladakh, Dr Jaffar Ali Khan, Chairperson Child Welfare Committee, Kargil, Dr. Niyaz Ali and the officials of District Child Protection Unit, Kargil. Dr. Niyaz Ali is also accompanying the children on the tour.
While addressing the children, ADC Kargil Imteeaz Kacho highlighted the importance of travel in broadening one’s vision and understanding of the world. He encouraged the participants to enjoy the journey, interact with people in Delhi, and confidently share the identity of Kargil district as a place known for its natural beauty, peaceful environment, clean air, and harmonious society. He advised the children to maintain hygiene, avoid junk food, learn positive habits from other places, and behave as responsible citizens.
The ADC also motivated the children to focus on their studies and explore emerging career opportunities, particularly in fields such as Artificial Intelligence, robotics, and modern career pathways, he added that good facilities and opportunities are available if one remains dedicated and disciplined.
Speaking on the occasion, Director, Tribal Research Institute, University of Ladakh, Dr Jaffar Ali Khan, said that such exposure tours are highly beneficial for the overall development of children. He informed that the tour is being conducted by air and that proper arrangements have been made to ensure the safety and care of the children throughout the journey, including accompaniment from Leh. He urged the participants to strictly follow rules and regulations during the tour and extended his best wishes for a safe and enriching experience.
