    Delegation from Nurses working in Health Department, SSC Junior Assistant aspirants call on the Hon’ble Lt Governor, Brig (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd).
    Leh, March 16, 2024: A delegation comprising nurses working in the Health Department led by Smt Tsering Disket called on the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) at Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat. Secretary to HLG, Shri Ravinder Kumar, IAS and Director, Health Services, Ladakh, Dr Motup Dorjey were present in the meeting.
    Smt Disket apprised the HLG that the seniority list prepared by the department had included nurses transferred from the Medical Education Department, Jammu & Kashmir UT. She requested the HLG that separate seniority lists be created for the Health and Medical Education Department. She also requested an amendment of recruitment rules for Public Health Nurse.
    Director, Health Services, Ladakh informed the HLG that the department had compiled a common seniority list for Junior and Senior Nurses of the Health Department. He also informed that the nurses apportioned from the Jammu & Kashmir were also included in the seniority lists comprising their services in Jammu and Kashmir UT. The HLG told them that seniority lists would be prepared according to established rules. He directed Director, Health Services, Ladakh to initiate the process of amending the recruitment rules of Public Health Nurse.
    A delegation comprising an aspirant for the Junior Assistant post led by Shri Akbar Ali called on the HLG at LG Secretariat. Secretary to HLG, Shri Ravinder Kumar, IAS and Secretary, GAD, Ladakh, Shri Michael D Souza, IAS, were present in the meeting.
    Shri Ali informed the HLG that the results for the Junior Assistant posts had not been declared by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) and requested an early declaration of the results.
    Secretary, GAD, Ladakh, Shri Michael D Souza informed the HLG that SSC had advertised 90 posts for Junior Assistants in 2022 and conducted a written examination the same year. He also informed that SSC had issued shortlisted lists for the typing test, and administration has conducted a typing test in which 42 and 35 candidates were qualified in the first and second phase of the test, respectively. Shri Michael also informed that the list of qualified candidates has been sent to SSC for the final declaration of final results.
    The HLG told Shri Michael to take up the matter with the concerned authorities to get the results declared on priority.
