Leh, March 15, 2024: A delegation from Rehbar-e Khel Teachers Forum led by its President, Shri Murtaza Kacho called on the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) at Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat. Secretary to HLG, Shri Ravinder Kumar, IAS; Secretary, Youth Services & Sports, Ladakh, Shri Vikram Singh malik, IAS and Joint Director, Youth Services & Sports, Shri Moses Kunzang, JKAS were present in the meeting.
Shri Murtaza apprised the HLG of the concerns regarding the enhancement of salaries and regularization of Rehbar-e-Khel teachers.
Secretary to HLG, Shri Ravinder Kumar informed the HLG that proposals for the enhancement of salaries for Rehbar-e-Khel teachers had been forwarded to the Finance Department for clearance. The HLG directed Director, Finance, Ladakh to expedite the issuance of orders for the enhancement of salaries for Rehbar-e Khel teachers as earliest.
Smt Rigzin Angmo and Smt Padma Chorol working as teachers called on the HLG at LG Secretariat. Secretary to HLG, Shri Ravinder Kumar, IAS and Director, School Education Department, Ladakh, Shri Tsering Paldan, JKAS were present in the meeting.
Smt Angmo apprised the HLG that she is working as teacher in Zanskar zone in Kargil district and she had married in Leh and Smt Chorol has working as teacher in Leh district and married in Zanskar. She expressed their willingness for a mutual transfer and requested the HLG for mutual transfer.
Director, School Education Department, Ladakh informed the HLG that a committee has been established to formulate a transfer policy of Rehbar-e-Taleem teachers. The HLG directed Director, School Education Department, Ladakh to incorporate provisions for mutual transfer into the transfer policy being framed by the committee. He asked them to wait for the committee’s report.
