    Delegations comprising entrepreneurs/artisans & NHM employees call on Hon’ble Lt Governor Brig (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd).
    Leh, Mar 01, 2024: A delegation comprising entrepreneurs/artisans, who participated in the Maharashtra International Trade Expo (MiTEX) 2024 at Mumbai, led by Smt Tsering Chorol, called on the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd), at the LG Secretariat.
    Secretary to HLG, Shri Ravinder Kumar, IAS and Director, Industries and Commerce, Ladakh, Shri Shiekh Nazir, JKAS were present in the meeting.
    Smt Chorol apprised the HLG that they had participated in the MiTEX 2024 at Mumbai and informed that the sale of their products at the expo was not satisfactory. She also informed that their shops were allocated in the last section of the expo venue which led to less footfall of customers. She requested incentives to help mitigate the costs incurred by them for their participation in the expo.
    The HLG directed Director, Industries, Ladakh to discuss the matter with the Principal Secretary, Industries, Shri Sanjeev Khirwar, IAS, and examine the matter.
    A delegation comprising contractual employees engaged under National Health Mission (NHM) led by Shri Mohd Hussain called on the HLG at the LG Secretariat. Secretary to the HLG, Shri Ravinder Kumar, IAS and Director Health Services, Dr Motup Dorje were also in the meeting.
    Shri Hussain informed the HLG about the performance-based incentive and requested him to review the performance-linked payment for various programmes to the Primary Health Care team at Health and Wellness Centers. He apprised the HLG of the committee constituted by the previous Mission Director, NHM to review the demand for the revision of performance-linked incentives for NHM workers like them.
    Shri Hussain also requested the HLG’s intervention in helping them get the full loyalty bonus after the completion of three years of service in the NHM. He further requested the HLG’s intervention so that they are paid the same salary as the NHM employees in Delhi.
    The HLG assured the delegates led by Shri Hussain that he would look into the recommendation of the Committee constituted by the former MD NHM. He stated that the NHM employees would be paid the loyalty bonus entitled to them. He also asked Director Health Services to look into their issues and take necessary measures.
