Department of Agriculture Ladakh conducts AgriStack training for district-level technical staff.
Leh, September 2: The Department of Agriculture, Union Territory of Ladakh, under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India, organised a capacity-building training programme for district-level technical staff on AgriStack under the Digital Agriculture Mission on September 2.
The training programme aimed to strengthen the capacity of technical staff for the implementation of the Farmers’ Registry and creation of unique Farmer IDs, which will be utilised for conducting the Digital Crop Survey in the Union Territory of Ladakh.
The programme was attended by officials from Leh, Kargil, Zanskar, Sham, Nubra, Drass and Changthang regions.
The training was conducted by a team of experts from the Central Project Management Unit (CPMU), Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India, headed by Shri Chandan Kumar, Under Secretary, Digital Agriculture Division.
Joint Director Agriculture, UT Ladakh, Shri Thinles Dawa, Deputy Director Agriculture, Smt. Tashi Dolma, Naib Tehsildars, Girdawars, Patwaris, and other concerned officers and officials from the Agriculture and Revenue Departments of UT Ladakh attended the training programme.
