DC Sham Chairs Meeting Regarding Celebration of International Yoga Day.
Khaltse,June 15, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Sham, Smt. Kunzes Angmo (JKAS),chaired a meeting today at DC conference hall Khaltse, regarding the forthcoming International Yoga Day to be observed on 21 June 2026, in the sham district. The meeting was attended by all the Head of the Offices (HODs) from various departments of Sham district.
During the meeting, the DC reviewed the arrangements and stressed the importance of active participation in the International Yoga Day celebration. She instructed all HODs to ensure the presence of their staff members during the programme and encouraged maximum participation.
She also instructed that students from all schools and the general public be encouraged to participate in the celebration of International Yoga Day.
The DC also directed the concerned departments to coordinate properly for the smooth conduct of the event and make necessary arrangements at the venue. She highlighted that International Yoga Day is an important occasion to encourage a healthy lifestyle and create awareness among the public regarding the significance of yoga in daily life.
Officers present in the meeting assured full cooperation for the successful celebration of International Yoga Day in Sham district.
