BMO Khaltse Conducts TB and NCD Screening Camp at CHC Khaltse.
Khaltse, August 03, 2026: As per the directions of the Deputy Commissioner, Sham, Smt. Kunzes Angmo (JKAS), the Block Medical Officer (BMO), Khaltse, today conducted a Tuberculosis (TB) and Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) Screening Camp for employees of District Sham at the Community Health Centre (CHC), Khaltse, under the banner of “Jan Jan Ka Rakhe Dhyaan – TB-Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.”
The screening camp witnessed the participation of employees from various government departments, who availed themselves of the free health screening services. The initiative aimed to facilitate the early detection of tuberculosis and non-communicable diseases, promote preventive healthcare, and create awareness about the importance of timely diagnosis and treatment.
During the camp, medical professionals carried out TB screening along with examinations for common non-communicable diseases such as hypertension and diabetes. Health counselling was also provided, encouraging participants to adopt healthy lifestyles and seek timely medical care whenever required.
A total of 73 employees from different departments were screened during the camp. The Health Department reiterated its commitment to achieving the goal of a TB-Mukt Bharat while strengthening preventive healthcare services across District Sham.
The Block Medical Officer appreciated the enthusiastic participation of employees and urged all eligible individuals to undergo regular health check-ups for the early detection and effective management of diseases.
The same TB and NCD Screening Camp will be conducted at Primary Health Centre (PHC), Saspol tomorrow, August 4, 2026, for the employees of Tehsil Saspol as per the schedule.
