DC Sham Chairs Meeting to Review Army-Related Land Cases.
Khaltse, July 30, 2026: Deputy Commissioner, Sham, Smt. Kunzes Angmo (JKAS), today chaired a meeting in her office chamber to review pending Army-related land cases under the Bema Headquarters.
The meeting was attended by Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Khaltse, Mohd Sharif; the Administrative Commandant, Station Headquarters Bema; Lt. Col. (2IC); the Reader to the SDM; SDO-I and SDO-II, Defence Estates Office (DEO), Leh; and the Junior Engineer, DEO, Leh. During the meeting, various land and rental-related issues concerning the Army were reviewed in detail.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the Revenue Department and the Army authorities to conduct a joint survey to facilitate the resolution of all pending rental-related land cases and ensure that land records are updated accordingly.
Emphasizing the importance of close coordination among all stakeholders, the Deputy Commissioner urged the concerned departments and the Army authorities to work in a coordinated manner for the timely resolution of all pending Army-related land matters.
