Department of Information and Public Relations Organises ‘Gems of India’ Challenge Awareness Session at Govt Degree College, Nubra.

An Awareness Session on the Gems of India Challenge was organised today, 21 August 2026, at Govt Degree College, Nubra by Department of Information and Public Relations, Nubra.
During the session, a detailed presentation was delivered by Ms Urgain Tsomo, DIPR Nubra to familiarise the participants with the ‘Gems of India’ initiative, its objectives, and various aspects of the contest. The session highlighted the attractive awards at the District, State/UT, and National levels, encouraging creators to showcase the best of their respective regions through innovative and engaging storytelling.
The awareness programme also featured short videos explaining the ‘Gems of India’ initiative, followed by a step-by-step demonstration of the registration process, video-uploading procedure, and other important guidelines.
Students and faculty members actively participated in the awareness programme. Participants were informed that the pilot submission window is currently open and will remain open until August 31, 2026.
An interactive question-and-answer session was also held, during which participants raised queries regarding registration, video submission, and other aspects of the contest.
