Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve chaired a meeting to discuss the fresh enrollment, pendency and skilling under PM Vishwakarma Scheme today on March 6 at VC Room of DC office, Leh.
During the meeting, General Manager, DIC, Leh, reported that a total of 1296 applications were received, out of which 995 successfully cleared the first level.
Additionally, 298 applications are pending at the Gram Panchayat level, and 74 Panchayat account assistants were onboarded, with 21 pending approvals and 60 rejections out of 867 received from MAC.
DC Leh reviewed the new onboarding registration of artisans in Handloom, Handicraft, and banking schemes under the vibrant village program. Furthermore, he scrutinized the registration and onboarding process in the Vishwakarma scheme of the carpentry association and Chamber of Commerce, Leh, addressing the challenges faced in beneficiary registration.
DC Leh directed the District Panchayat Officer, Leh, to resolve the issue of pending applications at main places within 2 to 3 days and ensure the onboarding of new beneficiaries in the scheme.
He urged the General Manager, DIC, Leh, to ensure significant growth in the PM Vishwakarma Scheme within 10 to 15 days. Furthermore, he instructed the concerned officers to enroll beneficiaries in the Vishwakarma scheme under the vibrant village program and submit the beneficiary data promptly.
The emphasis was laid on eliminating pendency, fostering rapid growth, and enhancing the outreach of the PM Vishwakarma Scheme.
