Deputy Commissioner, Nubra, Mukul Beniwal IAS, chaired a meeting to review the overall status of ongoing power infrastructure projects in Nubra district.
Discussions were held regarding the status of the Phyang-Diskit transmission line project, Substations works and the capacity of existing hydel power projects in the district.
Officials also briefed the chair on the existing power assets, available manpower,consumer coverage, and the physical progress of ongoing works.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the officials to ensure timely execution of projects, resolution of multi stakeholder issues arising during construction works, and ensuring balanced distribution of electricity across the district.
The meeting was also attended by SDM Nubra Jigmet Raftan JKAS, Chief Manager of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, officials of REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited, Ladakh Power Development Department, Ladakh Renewable Energy Development Agency.
