DIET Kargil organizes outdoor learning adventure in Shargole Zone.
Kargil, October 15, 2024: As part of its outreach initiative, DIET Kargil today conducted an outdoor learning adventure in Shargole Zone. The event welcomed participants from eight Middle Schools in the zone and engaged them in experiential learning opportunity.
Principal DIET Kargil, Sayeda Banoo, attended the program as the chief guest and Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Shargole, Akbar Ali as the guest of honour.
The event promoted an educational approach based on “Learning by Doing,” with a particular focus on enhancing Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN).
The day’s activities were organized around three thematic areas: “Count, Calculate, and Conquer”, “Dip and Drop” and “Race to Victory – Spoon Edition”. These activities gave students an interactive platform to acquire academic knowledge in a practical and funny way.
At the event, Gulzar Danish spoke about the significance of such initiatives, connecting them to the National Education Policy (NEP) and the National Curriculum Framework (NCF).
Shamim Ahmad, the Art Teacher, ensured the smooth execution of the activities, while Anwar Hussain recorded the scores.
ZEO Shargole, Akbar Ali appreciated the organizers’ efforts in bringing this valuable program to the zone. Khusheeda Banoo HoD Program management shared her observations and advised to continue the same at respective schools.
Principal Sayeda Banoo expressed her gratitude to the ZEO for their cooperation and support in the arrangements, and commended the dedication of the organizing team for ensuring the event’s success.
She urged all the teachers to recognize that the students, under their guidance, are in a crucial moulding phase, and it is their responsibility to shape them into capable individuals. The program concluded with a prize distribution ceremony and a vote of thanks.
