    DIET Leh Concludes Second Batch of Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) Training.
    Leh, 12 August 2026: The District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Leh, successfully concluded the second batch of Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) Training, conducted in collaboration with Devi Sansthan. The training was facilitated by Smt Sumita Bhatt, Head Trainer, and Sh Pratyush Shukla, Trainer, who painstakingly conducted and successfully completed two batches of FLN training, reflecting their commitment to strengthening foundational learning and enhancing the professional capacities of teachers.
    On the concluding occasion, Sh Sonam Dorje Namgyal, Principal, DIET Leh, expressed his sincere appreciation to the resource persons for their dedicated efforts, expertise and engaging approach throughout the training. He also thanked all the participating teachers for their enthusiastic involvement, active participation and commitment towards improving the quality of foundational education in the district.
    The programme was further enriched by an inspiring Wall Art Project by renowned Japanese artist Hamao Kazunori. A documentary showcasing the project and the artistic skills developed among students of High School Matho was screened during the occasion. The presentation offered a vibrant glimpse into the creativity and artistic potential of young learners, demonstrating how art can become a powerful medium for self-expression, confidence-building and holistic development.
    Sh Tsering Tundup Sr Lecturer Programme coordinator has expressed thanks to Sh SD Namgyal Principal DIET Leh, Resource persons, Participants and special thanks to Japanese Artist HAMAO KAZUNORI for his documentary showcasing.
    A total of 25 participants took part in the training programme. The event reflected DIET Leh’s continued endeavour to promote innovative pedagogy, strengthen teacher capacity and provide learners with opportunities to develop their academic, creative and artistic potential in accordance with the spirit of NEP 2020.
