DIET Leh in collab with Education Dept observes Sign Language Day

Leh, Sept 23: The International Sign Language Day was conducted with great zeal and zest at DIET Leh by the Inclusive Education wing of the Chief Education Office, Leh in collaboration with DIET Leh.
The program commenced with the welcome speech by District Coordinator for Inclusive Education, Rinchen Dolma.
Director School Education, Dr Safdar Ali; District Social Welfare Officer, Nilza Angmo and Principal, DIET Leh graced the occasion. They expressed their views on the importance of Sign Language for the deaf person for accessing their rights.
They also encouraged the children of High School Chuchot Yokma and teachers who were part of the event.
A drawing competition was also organised as part of the event and the position holders were rewarded with prizes.
