    Leh, 11 July 2026: The District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Leh successfully concluded a six-day Bhoti Textbook Review and Reframing Workshop held from 06 to 11 July 2026 for the review, revision, and reframing of Bhoti textbooks for Classes III onwards.
    The workshop was organized with the objective of developing learner-centred, culturally relevant, and pedagogically sound textbooks in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework (NCF). During the workshop, the Bhoti Textbook Core Committee, comprising eminent Bhoti language experts, academicians, and experienced teachers, reviewed, revised, and finalized the draft textbooks through detailed deliberations and collaborative planning.
    The committee comprised Dr. Jamyang Wangchuk (HSS Tingmosgang), Dr. Lotos Rabgais (DIET Leh), Ven. Tashi Gyaltsan (HSS Saspol), Padma Wangail (HS Gya), Ven. Konchok Tsering (HSS Skurbuchan), Dr. Tsering Dolker (Boys HSS Leh), and Ven. Konchok Stanzin (HS Thiksey). Their collective expertise and commitment significantly contributed to enhancing the academic quality, linguistic accuracy, and cultural relevance of the Bhoti textbooks.
    On the concluding day, the Principal, Mr. S. D. Namgail, DIET Leh, expressed sincere appreciation to all the Bhoti language experts and committee members for their hard work, dedication, commitment, and determination throughout the workshop. As a mark of gratitude and respect, the Principal felicitated the experts with the traditional Khata (white ceremonial scarf) in recognition of their invaluable contribution to the promotion and development of Bhoti language education.
    In his concluding remarks, the Principal encouraged all participants to continue working with the same spirit and commitment towards the advancement of the Bhoti language through research, curriculum development, and the preparation of quality educational resources. He emphasized that sustained efforts are essential for the preservation and promotion of Bhoti language, culture, traditions, heritage, and the unique way of life of the people of Ladakh for future generations.
    The successful completion of the workshop marks another significant milestone in DIET Leh’s ongoing efforts to strengthen mother tongue-based education and to preserve and promote the rich linguistic and cultural heritage of Ladakh through quality, learner-centred, and culturally responsive educational resources.
