DIET Leh Successfully Concludes Four-Day SEE Learning Training Programme.
Leh, July 30, 2026: The District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Leh successfully concluded a four-day ( 27th July to 30th July 2026) Social, Emotional and Ethical (SEE) Learning training programme for the Heads of Institutions (HOIs) and teachers of PM SHRI Schools. The programme also witnessed the participation of teachers from a few private schools, making the training a collaborative learning experience. A total of 36 participants successfully completed the programme.
The training was organised with the objective of equipping school leaders and teachers with the knowledge and practical skills required to nurture students’ social, emotional and ethical competencies in the classroom. After successfully completing the four-day training, the participants are now equipped and authorised to implement the SEE Learning programme in their respective schools.
The sessions were conducted by Smt. Thinless Wangmoo, Senior Lecturer SEE Learning expert Government Higher Secondary School Khalsi, Smt. Tsering Angmo, Lecturer SEE Learning expert, DIET Leh, and Sh. Nishant Payal SEE Learning expert, Programme Manager, Piramal Foundation.
Through interactive discussions, group activities and practical demonstrations, the resource persons enabled participants to understand the importance of creating compassionate, emotionally safe and inclusive learning environments for children.
The valedictory function was presided over by Sh. S. D. Namgyal, Principal, DIET Leh. Congratulating the participants on the successful completion of the training, he appreciated their active involvement and urged them to implement the principles of SEE Learning with dedication in their schools.
He emphasized that while academic achievement is important, the emotional well-being and ethical development of children are equally essential for their overall growth. On the occasion, he distributed Certificates of Successful Completion to all the participants and presented mementoes to the resource persons in recognition of their valuable contribution to the programme.
Smt. Tsering Yangdol, Head of Department, DIET Leh, also congratulated all the participants and encouraged them to become role models in promoting empathy, compassion, emotional awareness and ethical values among students through their daily classroom practices.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Sh. Tsering Tundup, Senior Lecturer and Programme Coordinator, who expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Principal, DIET Leh, for his constant encouragement, guidance and unwavering support in making the programme a success. He also thanked the resource persons for their dedicated efforts and appreciated the enthusiastic participation, discipline and commitment shown by all the trainees throughout the four-day programme.
Sh. Zakir Hussain, Programme In-charge, Piramal Foundation, Kargil, was also present throughout the training programme and extended continuous support in ensuring its smooth and successful conduct.
The successful conclusion of the training marks another important initiative by DIET Leh towards strengthening the professional capacity of teachers and school leaders. It is expected that the trained educators will now take forward the SEE Learning approach in their schools, helping to create classrooms where students not only excel academically but also grow as compassionate, responsible and emotionally resilient individuals.
