Press Release DIET Leh’s STEM Bus Brings Science and Mathematics Alive at Govt. Middle School Yarlok Govt. Middle School Yarlok, Leh witnessed an exciting day of innovation and experiential learning as the STEM Lab Bus of DIET Leh visited the campus on 12 May 2026. The initiative aimed to make Science and Mathematics more engaging through practical demonstrations and interactive activities. The programme was inaugurated in the presence of Principal DIET Leh, Sh. Mirza Mehdi and Head of Department, Ms. Tsering Yangdol. The STEM activities were conducted by the dedicated Science team comprising Ms. Chetna Sharma, Ms.Kunzes Dolma, Ms. Rashida Parveen ( Science resource persons) and Ms.Sonam Diskit ( Maths Resource person). Students explored a variety of hands-on experiments and innovative learning activities related to Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics. The visit transformed the school environment into a lively learning space where students observed, experimented, questioned, and collaborated enthusiastically. The activities helped learners connect classroom concepts with real-life applications while promoting creativity, curiosity, teamwork, and scientific thinking. The Head of Govt. Middle School Yarlok appreciated the efforts of DIET Leh in reaching out to students through mobile STEM education and highlighted the importance of such initiatives in strengthening experiential learning among young learners. Through such outreach programmes, DIET Leh continues to promote activitybased education and inspire students across Ladakh to develop confidence, innovation, and a deeper interest in STEM education.
