Director Sheep Husbandry Department UT Ladakh Visits Zanskar.
Inaugurates Newly Established District Sheep Husbandry Officer’s Office.
Zanskar, September 15:
The Director, Sheep Husbandry Department, UT Ladakh, Dr. Iftikhar Hussain, along with Dr. Tundup Namgyal, DSHO Leh, today visited Zanskar and inaugurated the newly established office of the District Sheep Husbandry Officer (DSHO), Zanskar.
During the visit, the Director inspected the newly established office and interacted with the officers and staff. He reviewed the ongoing departmental activities and livestock development programmes being carried out in the district.
Dr. Asif Hussain, DSHO Zanskar, welcomed the Director and briefed him about the newly established office and various departmental activities being carried out in the district.
The Director also welcomed Dr. Nasir Hussain, newly posted Livestock Development Officer (LDO), Zanskar, and wished him success in his new assignment.
The Director discussed various issues related to livestock development with the officers and took feedback about the work being done in the field. He advised the officers to stay in close contact with livestock owners and provide timely veterinary and livestock services.
He appreciated the efforts of the officers and staff and stressed the need for proper implementation of departmental schemes and programmes. He also emphasised that the benefits of these schemes and services should reach the livestock owners at the grassroot level.
The visit concluded with directions to the officers and staff to continue their efforts for the welfare of livestock owners and to further improve livestock services in Zanskar.
