District Election Officer chairs meeting for Pre-Revision Activities for SSR of Photo Electoral Rolls.
Kargil, June 17, 2025 – The District Election Officer/ District Magistrate, Kargil, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse (IAS) chaired a meeting today in his office chamber regarding Pre-Revision Activities for Special Summary Revision (SSR) of Photo Electoral Rolls to begin from January 01, 2026.
The meeting followed a detailed discussion on Pre-Revision activities, Rationalization of Polling Stations, Appointment/Activation of Booth Level Agents (BLAs), H2H survey of BLOs, Sensitization of SSR and Revision Activities.
The District Election Officer directed all the political parties to depute their BLAs before the SSR begins. He instructed the CEO to form Prospective Voters Club at all Higher Secondary Schools to sensitise students regarding right to franchise.
He further instructed the Tehsildars to ensure that the BLOs collect the previous voter card while distributing the new cards after modification/ changes.
The meeting was attended by Chief Education Officer, (Nodal Officer ELC), Kargil, All Tehsildars (AEROS) of Kargil District, SVEEP Representative, Election Officer, Kargil, Tech. Representative of Election IT Cell Kargil, AIO DIPR, Kargil, District President/Representatives of BJP, INC, and JKNC.
