District Hub for Empowerment of Women and RSETI Organize 40-Day Tailoring Training for Unemployed Women

The District Hub for Empowerment of Women, in collaboration with the Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI), has started a 40-day training program on tailoring for 35 unemployed women from Leh district. This initiative is part of the skill development program under the Beti Bachao scheme, aiming to empower women through vocational training and entrepreneurship. The Objectives of the training is to equip women with tailoring skills to enhance their employability and entrepreneurship opportunities, promote economic independence and self-reliance among women and Support the Beti Bachao scheme’s objective of promoting girls’ education and empowerment.
The training programme will conclude on 30th of June 2025 and upon completion, participants will have gained skills to sew various garments, including traditional dresses, suits and salwars, enhancing their employability and entrepreneurship.
