District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Leh organized an educational exposure visit to Model School Gonpa for the young learners of its Balvatika program. Accompanied by a dedicated team of nine teachers, the initiative aimed to promote holistic early childhood development through creative expression, practical exploration, and confidence-building activities.
The visit focused on experiential learning beyond the traditional classroom setting, engaging students through several structured activities:
Artistic Expression: Students participated in creative drawing sessions, utilizing vibrant visual art to express imagination and develop fine motor skills.
Interactive Innovation: Learners engaged with the school’s Tinkering Wall, fostering early curiosity, critical thinking, and foundational problem-solving abilities through tactile play.
Stage Exposure: Children were given the opportunity to perform on stage, an activity specifically designed to help them overcome public speaking anxieties and build self-assurance at an early age.
Guided Pedagogy: The accompanying faculty facilitated recreational learning modules, ensuring that play-based activities remained directly aligned with foundational learning objectives.
By integrating art, hands-on exploration, and public performance into the early childhood curriculum, DIET Leh reinforces its commitment to nurturing cognitive, emotional, and social development among young students in the region.
