    District-Level FLN-TLM Mela successfully conducted in Kargil.
    Kargil, Sept 25, 2024: The district-level Foundational Literacy and Numeracy Teaching-Learning Material (FLN-TLM) Mela was organized at District Institute of Education and Training Center in Kargil.
    The program aimed to enhance teaching-learning methodologies and witnessed enthusiastic participation from 18 schools across Kargil Zone, including Chikthan, Sankoo, Drass, Tai-Suru and Shargul. Teachers showcased innovative educational materials and techniques.
    Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon was the chief guest at the event. In his address, he praised the efforts of the participating schools and the enthusiasm displayed by teachers. He emphasized the importance of such initiatives in improving the quality of education and fostering creative approaches to teaching.
    DIET Principal put-forth various demands such as Building Structure, widening of link road connecting DIET and other demands to which the CEC assured to redress on priority.
    Chief Education Officer, S.D. Namgyail and Principal DIET, Kargil Abdul Qayum also visited the stalls and congratulated the teaching team for highlighting the significance of creativity and innovation through the exhibition of different schools of district Kargil.
    The event provided a unique opportunity for educators to present and discuss innovative Teaching-Learning Materials (TLM) tailored for foundational literacy and numeracy across various subjects. Teachers from all participating schools exhibited great zeal and commitment, making the Mela a vibrant platform for learning and exchange.
    Among the highlights of the Mela were the awards presented to the top-performing schools. Government Middle School Shakardu secured first position, followed by Government Middle School Chikthan in second place and Government Karith in third.
    The CEC congratulated the winning teams and all participants, commending them for their dedication to improving the educational landscape in the district. He expressed satisfaction with the event’s arrangements and encouraged schools to continue engaging in such participatory learning endeavors to enhance educational quality.
    The successful conclusion of the FLN-TLM Mela has set a benchmark for future educational events in the district, encouraging schools to explore new avenues for teaching and learning.
