District Police Changthang Establishes Drugs and Cyber Crime Counselling Helpline.
Nyoma, July 2026: In a significant step towards safeguarding the youth and strengthening community support mechanisms, the Superintendent of Police, Changthang Shri Z.A Jafari (JKPS) has announced the establishment of a Drugs and Cyber Crime Counselling Helpline for the residents of District Changthang.
The helpline has been launched to provide guidance, counselling, and assistance to individuals affected by drug abuse, substance addiction, and cyber-related crimes. Members of the public may seek help, counselling, or share information confidentially by contacting 9541927085.
The initiative aims to support de-addiction efforts, promote cyber awareness, and encourage timely reporting of cyber frauds and other online offences. The helpline is part of District Police Changthang’s ongoing commitment towards building a Drug-Free Changthang and ensuring a safe digital environment for all citizens. Recent awareness and de-addiction initiatives in the Changthang region have also emphasized the importance of community participation in preventing substance abuse. �
