Dr. Mohd. Abass Assumes Charge as First District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Changthang.
Changthang, Ladakh: Dr. Mohd. Abass has formally assumed charge as the District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Changthang, marking an important step towards strengthening the district-level administrative and livestock development setup in the newly created District Changthang.
On his assumption of charge, Dr. Abass was warmly welcomed by the staff of the Sheep Husbandry Department, Nyoma. He was also welcomed by the President of the Goba Association, Nyoma, along with members of Nyoma Gonpa and the Women Association, Nyoma, who visited his office and extended their best wishes. The dignitaries and members honoured him with traditional khataks.
During the introductory interaction, Dr. Abass interacted with the departmental staff and discussed the ongoing activities and livestock development programmes in the Changthang region. He emphasised the importance of coordinated efforts, effective implementation of government schemes, and strengthening veterinary and livestock development services for the benefit of the nomadic and livestock-rearing communities.
Dr. Abass expressed his commitment to working with dedication and coordination for the overall development of the livestock sector and the welfare of the farming and pastoral communities of District Changthang.
