Drugs and Climate Awareness Campaign Held in Zanskar.
Zanskar, July 27, 2026: A Drugs and Climate Awareness Campaign was organised by the Young Drukpa Association in collaboration with the District Administration Zanskar, Choskal Tsogspa, and the UT Administration Ladakh in Zanskar.
The campaign was led by His Eminence Thuksay Rinpochey, who undertook a five-day Pad Yatra across various parts of Zanskar district along with around 300 followers to spread awareness on the harmful effects of drug abuse and the importance of environmental conservation.
On behalf of the District Administration, Superintendent of Police Zanskar, Sh. Rigzin Sungdup, Zonal Education Officer Tsewang Yangdol, and A.O. to Deputy Commissioner, Sh. Stanzin Khewang, extended a warm welcome to His Eminence.
A major awareness programme was held at the Tourist Dak Bungalow, Padum, which witnessed participation from a large number of local residents, students, and followers of Rinpochey.
In his address, His Eminence Thuksay Rinpochey urged the youth to stay away from drugs and emphasised the need to maintain a clean environment for a healthy and secure future.
